Somethings just don't make sense...

It's not really the shoes, it's the added height that's supposed to be sexy, but personally I prefer shorter girls myself...

Oh Noes It's the shoes! It adds to the way they walk. Most guys respond to that click of heels as well. I like petite women, but lets face it they are all pretty nice.

I have a few theories meself:
-Height gives them an appearance of authority (this is true actually, height does make you look like you're in charge).
-They're expensive shoes, so display of wealth.
-Same reason men wear loafers; they're dressy shoes.
-Clickity-clack sounds sexy or something.
-Tradition carried over from platform shoes.
These seem to make sense...

And he's right. the extension of the toes flexes the calf muscles creating the appearance of a more athletic/ healthier leg, while the inability to fully utilize ones foot necessitates swiveling the hips while walking. The clicking is more of an association, and attention getting thing.

What I don't get is the obssession with tanning oneself to look more attractive.
I get the general idea that looking pale implies frailty, weakness and overall poor genetic stock, but most people I know including myself don't actually think that, not even instinctively. I actually am slightly repulsed by tans - though this is usually due to fake tan looking too, well, fake. It does work on some people, but it just seems like everywhere I look I see peroxide blondes with over-tanned skins and too much foundation.
I know WHY this is - it's because the media relies upon female presenters/actresses looking like this because, whilst they have no distinct unique features, they don't have any potentially dislikeable features either - so they're effectively 'safely' attractive.
What I don't get is why girls are so utterly convinced looking like this is attractive and attempt to copy this regardless of how they look. I mean, I get they probably have low self-esteem (what girl doesn't?) but it still seems odd they think going for a fake tan and peroxide blonde hair makes them prettier.

Try this on for size;
People in Europe and America want to look darker.
People in some Asian countries want to look paler.
And thus lies the paradox of life.

Try this on for size; People in Europe and America want to look darker. People in some Asian countries want to look paler. And thus lies the paradox of life. i hyave expirienced this with people first hand. it's what i like to call 'reverse racism'. take the philippines for example. they had been colonized by the spanish, then by the french who were than fought off by the spanish in which the people revolted with the americans who betrayed the filipinos and collonized with the spanish until the japanese came and then marcos came along (than his right wing regime detroyed the socalists but that's another story) the filipinos has been ruled mainly by the spanish. the spanish enforced the idea that they were superior. this idea actually got hammered right down through the lower classes of the philippines. so the filipinos soon thought that the spanish really were superior and those who had spanish blood were thought to be more beautiful. the irony was that the spanish related to the phillipine layd back culture and (guess what) thought they were very beautiful and through these ideas were almost racist - to themselves! and yes many do remember and are rather bitter with america.

I hate heals.
Me wearing those is like me trying to commit suicide. (Because I WILL fall down something and seriously harm myself.)
