OOC: Oh, my bad. He hadn't put up a post yet, and I forgot about him. Sorry.
"Being kind? No. I do not think it can sove everything. I said nothing about being kind. Merely calm. Nor did I say my power was magic. You're the one who made those claims, not me." Golen responded. "We are not all brutes like you, and hopefully I can have a civilized conversation with the people who actually want to accomplish something. But, if your afraid, I understand. Good day."

Kali'naj turned from Leon after shaking hands, then sheathed his blades behind his back. He looked up at the sky, seeing it darken slowly, then raised his hand. "Rekesta un ordera iss resturin.", he said quietly, and a small nimbus of glowing light appeared in his hands, illuminating the darkness.

Signals heard the conversation that just occured between the shaman and the mage. He laughed. A horrible laugh, a screeching, gurgling laugh, as if he was mocking life itself. He maved further away, remembering what he was seeking in the first place. Rumor has it that unimaginable powers lay waiting on this hallowed island, But most people refused to search it. At night spectres of revenge and horror awake, dealing no physical pain but imprinting fear in all that cast a glance upon them. Signals lived for the night...

"Brutes?" the mage had stopped "You think a high elf mage is afraid and uncivilsed?" he turned, a faint glow of grey shone in his eyes. "You shamans believe that everything has to be calm, civilsed and fair.." he began walking back towards Golen "But what won your wars?" he chuckled "Violence!" he finished for the shaman. Holding out his hand he whispered some words into his hands "Thian Kurta" he then glanced up at Golen, this mind magic would cause the Shamans worst fear to come to life infront of it, but yet only in his mind.

"I'll show them fear." Night was slowly creeping upon them, and it was dark enough that he was just a silhouette. He slid one of his swords out from it's sheath, just loud enough so the entire group heard it. He pressed the blunt end against his wrist, so that the blade ran paralell against his fore arm. He readied himself without a sound, and with a flurry of noise he burst from the trees and sliced a tiny nick from the elf mages sleeve. He was gone in a flash, too fast and quiet for anybody to know what it was. Again he flew through the group, this time slicing a small nick from the beastmans horn. "When the night comes, your witchery wont save you!" He shouted to the group from the shadows. Once again concealed by darkness and nature, he left to continue his search for the fabled portal stones.

Golen twitched. "Hardly" he said to the mage, spinning his staff and charging. "You'll have to think harder. I've already faced my fear. And lost." He swung the staff, stopping short of Diaten. "I've had my share of war and violence. Only fools are not afraid." He turned, walking towards the others. "Seeing as how you seem to hold Shamans in low regard, you are welcome to go and find the insectoid." He looked towards Leon. "I understand your caution. Feel free to stay Aquatic." Turning back to Kali'Naj, he spoke: 'So, let us continue our conversation."

"i like it when i am water. i can see anything where my water self is. and wars are won by much more than just brute violence!" Leon said manifesting a hand with a pointed finger at the mage. "i mean, who do you think makes the leaders of either sides disappear?" the finger was now pointing down towards Leon. the pinky was pointed in the direction of the insect man.

Kali'naj sighed, letting his light go out, then muttered a few words. Suddenly his feet seemed to walk without his say so, and he called out, "My feet carry me away, friends. It is my sincerest hope that we meet again, but for now, I must be a-wandering."

Another of Signals' laughs shrieked through the forest. "The nights of fear!" A low rumble cut off his voice. The clouds of the island parted, The fungal towers hurriedly retreated into the ground and the trees withered before the eyes of the group. thier leaves drying and rotting almost instantly. What was happening was almost impossible to comprehend, and idillic island of natural beauty was now a clawing, tearing maze of terror. The rumbling stopped. The island stood still. Then the screams and wails of agony broke the silence. The island suddenly seemed much larger, every tree was different, but they all looked the same, each one a knotted shamble of clawing branches. The laugh came again, but slowly turned to screams of agony and sorrow, the night spectres came and sought to bring unimaginable suffering to those that tread hallowed ground...

The elf mage turned, his eyes narrowing "Night spectres..." he whispered to himself. The sword at his hip was drawn and Dianten began to run towards the edge of the forest. A deformed hand reached out towards him as the mage reached the border of the clearing, only to be dealt a sharp blow from Diatens sword.
The mage was a grey blur as he flew through the forest in search of signals "Where the hell is that insectoid?" his head turned from side to side as he searched the dense forest.

Kali'naj walked through the foresty plains, looking at the scenery. It was not often he had the chance to notice such things. Usually, he was in a desert, wandering aimlessly without food or water.

The Light followed, after the clouds had parted and the noises of the ,yet to be, dead echoed through the forests, the light illuminated the island in a sickly red. the three moons caught the light through the clouds and cast four eerie shadows on everything. Signals was knelt down on the floor groaning, Much is needed to cause deep fear within somebody of his persona, but still he moaned. His clothes were dusty and his clicking, beetle like jaws were crusted with dirt. The moons above moved into a perfect triangular position, this only occured three times a year, each of those three times the true horror of the night spectres was unleashed. rumor has it that they seek to reclaim the island, that there were in fact eight races. Rumor also has it that whoever stayed at night on the island would die, signals was nowhere near dead. He stopped his dreadful groaning and started laughing, a manaical laugh. "The portal stones will be mine!"

The elf mage fled through the forest, constantly pestered by a dark swirling mist. It kept pace, but stayed far enough away so not to be hit by any of the mages trickery. His eyes darted from side to side as the red light shone through the trees in patches, warming the land slightly. He spotted signals after hearing his histerical cry "The portal stones will be mine!"
The mage had slid to a stop behind the creature and raised an eyebrow mockingly "Not if i get them first" he replied to the rhetorical shout. He turned and the mist seemed to materialize into dark, evil creatures. He drew his sword and pointed it towards a single creature "Blazi Torand!" he screamed and a swirling stream of fire erupted from the end of his blade and engulfed the night spectre "But first, we have to deal with these damn spectres!"

signals ignored the spectres and the elf behind hime, He was digging for something... He found it, Dirt flew into the air as he scuttle down the re-opened tunnel complex. The ghostly figures falling in behind him, clawing thier way down the hole. He scramble forwards, still holding the chip from the beastmans horn and a peice of cloth from the mages robe. Onwards he plowed, through the soil and stones until he reached and open chamber, A swirling cloud obsured the centre, where the Anstrych compass lay. He leapt for the stone... something grabbed his wrist, He jolted forwards, but couldn't break free. With his two upper arms he drew his swords and slashed furiously at the phantoms. His blades cut them, but they didn't break the skin. He lashed out and kicked and sliced, the dead backed away but only returned with greater numbers. He slowly backed his way towards the compass and managed to grasp it in his hand. The swirling shroud around it engulfe the spectres and they tumbled back out the tunnel. He was blinded and only managed to gain his hearing for a few seconds befor it started screeching in his ear, a horrible high pitched drone. He then tumbled out of the hole he came through, landing on dianten in the process. He held the stone in his hand, so hard it began to cut into his palm. He opened his eyes and could only see diantens skull and eye sockets. He roared and dropped the tone. His vision returned... He scuttled back and slid the stone back into his hand. The night spectres moved away from him. Was he dead? He saw diantens skull again, and his skeleton, his brain and still beating heart. He saw the pulse flowing through his veins and saw the power flexing in his muscles. Signals realised what the stone did...

(of course you keep supplies)
"well what the heck was that? you just jostled around a lot. its hard up in here." Leon said whilst inside Signals water jug. Slowly Leon leaked out of the cap barely holding all of leons water self. he fully leaked out and tried to go back to human. but all he did was make shape of one with water. everything was there, his cloths, his blades, his body, but all of them were water. he inspected his blade. still wicked and sharp. but with water form. "what did that mage do to me?" Leon said thinking the mage cursed him in this form. "wait," he said realizing the stone. "what does that stone do?" Leon asked Signal confused as the bug man in front of him...
