(If I were to be ogre) Previously a well known butcher, he was shuned by his tribe (and nearly made into lunch, but of couse they didnt have a butcher) because he accidentaly served the tyrant a poison rat. To get revenge, Dol dragged his pot to the wastes, thowing in what ever was available. He was scarred by all mater of beings but did not falter. (ok aromasin you can join, i was going to let Vagabond6 join, but he didn't, so you can instead this is the last signup, no more.) Dolma'd: I rolled centaur, BUT since everything you wrote fits ogre, you can be an ogre. Anyway, you finally see the head of a Plaguebearer look up and smile. "You are chosen by Father Nurgle, to be...a Champion of Chaos." The head sinks in, disappearing. Then, the contents of the pot explode all over you, then you realize it is the Plaguefather's first blessing: Your arms swell out of proportion to your body, even greater and stronger than most Ogres', twice their original size in fact. While clumsier, they are much stronger, and of course any ogre values strength above dexterity! Also, you are granted Feel No Pain, and now even the greatest wound will not be felt, making you a lot tougher. What will you now do, endowed wih the blessings oof Chaos? Zrascak: One skaven is killed as a guard throws an axe in its face, then you kill the one you are fighting. They fall back, regrouping around a locked casket, bolted to the floor, which probably contains the shard. Tor'ak: The panicked elves, in their current state, are no match for your arcane weapon, and they are all felled. You offer up a prayer to Khorne, not knowing that this one will get a respinse. Suddenly, a flash of red fire makes you look up. There is a daemon standing there...it is Skulltaker, Khorne's sacred executioner! It growls, "The Tournament of Blood has begun! Every thousand years, mighty Khorne takes a great Daemon-sword and places it within a Fleshound! All the Champions and Daemons of Khorne must be told! He who finds and slays the Fleshound will carry the sword for a thousand years, slaying all they face and becoming the Lord of Battles!" He vanishes. Even as he does so, you feel another reward, granted through not only killing the Elves, but skulltaker's presence as well. It is the Eye of God! (cue majestic music...) You do not qualify for Spawnhood or Princehood, so are instead granted a special follower: a fleshound! (it does not contain the sword, so no cutting it open to check). You then receive a collar of Khorne (if you already have one, give this one to a follower), which gives a very high resistance to spells. Also you receive a Chaos weapon-Impunity. This sword has been quenched in the blood of brave and noble men, and increases your resistance to physical attacks. Do not be misled by the name--you are not immune, just tougher.

(OOC: THAT is... COOL! Awesome... Now I just don't need to die... ) By mighty Khorne! Skulltaker, I shall compete in the challenge and claim the sword!Tor'ak stares up in the sky for several minutes and then looks down to see the seared ground he stands, in it a sword stands. When he touches it he hears a voice in his mind. CruorThe word echoes in his mind and he says loudly Crour, I shall wield you in battle and slay the opponents in the name of Khorne! With that he sets out north, to find the flesh hound containing the blade. His new companion and his trusty skaven followers are following his every move. He stops, remembers his trusty axe and looks at Cruor. He takes a piece of cloth from his skaven followers and binds the axe to the flesh hound after blessing it in the name of Khorne. He then sets off to the north again. (OOC: Cruor means bloodshed in Latin. I thought it was appropriate.)

Bjorn reaches the stairs, then turns, suddenly realising he didn't want to leave. He'd never had this much fun! He runs back in to the horde, swinging his axe in wild swings, knowing it would be impossible to miss. The elves and harpies just look on in shock, not quite knowing whether to jump in and help or run for their lives. (OOC: Why would a Khorne champion run from a fight? )

Zrascak: Do you mean at the dwarves or around (to make a ring)? Tor'ak: After trekking many miles, you see a pack of fleshounds up ahead, circling round an altar of Khorne. Suddenly, three bloodletters riding juggernauts charge in, in an attempt to find the fleshound that contains the sword. It is probably not one of these, as there are literally millions it could be, but they figure it's worth a shot. So do you. Jorund: The 'dwarf' goes flying back, smacking into the ground. The one on the right stops and staggers off, clutching its head. The left one changes, growing taller and more grotesque. It is the Doppelganger. It has two more things to try. First, it will try and imitate you, and take control of your mind. You must use all your willpower to fight it. (will do Bjorn tomorrow, got to go now.)

Bjorn (a bit late): You are filled with the fury of Khorne as you fight, your weapon rising and falling, smashing skeletons into powder. Something sparks in their dead skulls...something they have not felt for millenia...fear. The skeletons, for the first time since Harald Hammerson, run away, fleeing jerkily, and you and your men cut them down. Khorne rewards you with a Chaos Steed. This creature is far more powerful than a mundane riding beast, and is a ferocious warrior in its own right, in addition to being as fast as a charging stallion. Suddenly, as you marvel at this fine steed, the air splits, fire rages for a nanosecond, and then, in its place, stands skulltaker. He tells you of the Tournament of Blood, of the Fleshound, and the sword, and then laughs, proclaiming that he must also hunt for the blade. He vanishes in another blast of flame. You musrt seek the blade, before any other recovers it. Jorund: The creature staggers back, surprised at your mental resistance. Then, still mentally assaulting you, it charges youm mwith its claws. (was that a special staff, or just any old staff? if it was, say, a rod of tzeentch, i'll have to change the post.) Zrascak: Being experienced with this spell (and you may get another soon, although there is little time to learn spells while playing the part of a Chaos Champion), you have no trouble incinerating them all. Except one. Still smoking, the dwarf leaps at you, yelling a war-cry, singling you out as the leader of the warband.
