That looks wicked! Nice paint job. I'm definately doing a magnofex next. With the Venom cannon and barbed strangler are the feeder arms actually attatched to the gun or are they magnets?

I did mine such that they needn't be attached... the arms kind of push together...

That was a really excellent post. The instructions were really clear, and you pointed out the pitfall for others which is always nice to see. I rate this as an exceptional tutorial, the picture images where needed to help; I do think a backup photographic image could have bee shown alongside the Step 4 Arms diagram, and also on the Step 5 Arm joint sculpting diagram for a little more enphasis. Still that was an amazing tutorial.
I am planning to do this 'magnetic limb attachment' on every model in my 'winter project' that can justify having it done. I have a slightly different approach with the magnets recessed further into the model so as to allieviate the problem of posing the arms/heads/weapons/etc....
Loved the read and it pointed out things that will be very helpful to me when I come to doing my models; so I thank you for that.
Again a fantastic piece. Otaktay. (Steve)

Lord Of The Seven Voices - From the place I got the magnets from, it would cost £9.25 including postage, for 50 magnets. Green Stuff is £4 from GW, and you don't need to use the whole packet.
carnifex10 - I know you only ever made this one post, and never signed in again after you made it, but I shall answer your question for the sake of completeness.
For the carapace, I used Chaos Black and Codex Grey. For the skin, I used Red Gore, Chaos Black and Blood Red For the exposed areas, I used Dark Angels Green, Snot Green, and Goblin Green.
I didn't mix any paints- I'm not that kind of person.
hivefleetmedusa - For the big guns, the arms are glued together
Thanks for the praise!

Hey all. I got my magnets today!!! I have already magnetized it all except the top carapace pieces (I am waiting until I have the conversion I am doing done). It's doesn't really take that long to do. it just took me a couple hours sitting in front of the TV and getting to work and next thing I know, I was pretty much finished.
Many of the parts wont need green stuff because the magnets fit just right. I will hopefully be able to put some pictures up soon when I get this sucker painted.

I used magnets that are half the size of the ones pictured. They punched right into the parts. I drilled a 1/8 inch hole in each part and didn't have to use any GS. All magnets face the same way so you could even put the arms on the wrong side if you want to. Magnets are 1/8 X 3mm.

The magnets you guys are using are way too big and cause alot of detail damage to accomodate. I have 1/8" magnets I got on Ebay in lots of 50 that are way strong enough to hold anything, but need very small holes. All limbs magnetized (Red Terror does not have interchangeble limb options, but it helps in transport and the limbs give instead of break when it is handled)

Great Ravener Thlaylie! Could you please tell me how you got the Hive Tyrant body to 'sit' on it's tail? I want my flying Tyrant to be posed in that way... (without legs). Thanks in advance!
