Now then. I have agreed to a game with an old friend late in Feb against his Space Wolves. He will, no doubt, be aiming to cream me to avenge years of my being Top Dog at Bloodbowl etc. In response, I have decided to go down the "if I am going to face an ultra-tweeked list then I am going to have some fun" approach. 

So, if you were going down the route of completely unexpected, how would you do it? 

Currently tempted by:

1) Can opener combination of lovely tyrant guard with big claws, swarmy, flyrant, 2 squads of warriors, some lovely shrikes.
2) Kit flyers of flyrants, pile of lovel shrikes, crone and harpy. And some basic bodies. Pod of pyrovores.
3) Mawlock & deathleaper comedy. Perhaps with some added biovores if I can kitbash some. 

So go on. You know you are going to get Rulesmithed / Herohammered / Googlestrategised to bits so what do you take to be the exact opposite if what they are going to expect? All the quirkiest, commedy units you can think of with a tiny bit of synergy.

The most unexpected? Unbound army list if you have actual multiple armies. Bring in everything that is remotely OP or just fun to bring. For instance, Wraithknights, Monoliths, and Carnifexes. How silly would that be to just see that set up on the table?

Nothing more unexpected that a nid army with....erm.....no nids in it. Not quite what I was after.

I'd go wacky with Biovores, Harpies, Sporocysts, and every Spore Mine and Mucolid I could convert or lay my hands on.

Use a little Spore Field and maybe some Neurothropes to keep them in line. They won't see THAT coming! lol

I may yet do that.
