So I have a little list here just seeing what people's different Army lists they would make from what I currently have. go nuts with any point amounts I'm just interested in people's mindset. What do I need, what can I get rid of in your opinion. Blow me up I'm interested.

Im missing a fast delivery system to get some of your force to the other side fast. also you have a lot of units running at the same speed that is also not Ideal if your walking accross hmm 25 gargoyles with AG to deep strike and try ty up forces list has 350 points left to distribute

This is very close to 2k, but I think it goes over if you use Old One Eye...if you must, then drop 11 hormagants and....a genestealer or two and you should hit 2k again

You have swarmlord in a pod showing up to...deliver nothing. I say drop the pod if you aren't tunneling in stealers and put all of your threats on the board with Kraken so opponents have to stress about target priority. With move and kraken's advance rule, Swarmlord will keep up with the pack. A savvy opponent will shoot him down. However, he can use hive commander on himself for a potential turn one charge (especially with onslaught) or get a squad of stealers deep in the opponents backfied early in a Kraken list. Putting him in a pod with no other support going into reserve with him is a good strategy to avoid SL getting alpha'd but I feel strongly that you will find yourself deepstriking further from your opponent to try and hive commander OOE or one of your other nasty units. A trygon purchase fixes this problem for you because your stealers then get out in front with SL and can sling shot in quickly.

I want to experiment with a walking swarmlord supported by malanthrope and maybe tyrant guard but I haven't been able to get it done so far.

Swarmlord is slingshotting one of the Genestealer squads. Remember that they can move 18” on average with Opportunistic Advance, plus Swarmy has a 6” area of effect. Then another move (and another OA if needed) will get them literally wherever they need to go. The pod is just to prevent turn 1 strikes from killing Swarmy.

Of course, if in your meta you find that Swarmy can survive a turn 1 Alpha if you go second, by all means ditch the pod. I just haven’t found that to be the case competitively.
