After a few games of 8th I've had some moderate successes but, all in all, little fun playing a horde list that I've been running. I wanted to try some new approach and theorize this on the boards.

Carnifex - 2x Monstrous Scything Talons, Adrenal Glands, Bone Mace, Spore Cysts

The basic concept would be to have the army deliver itself in a one-two punch combo. Turn 1 is about a shock and awe strike, bringing the Hive Tyrants and Gargoyles onto juicy targets that they can harass while the Trygon delivers the Devilgaunt blob to double tap any soft or medium armored targets. Hopefully the target saturation would make it difficult to prioritize the mostly close combat oriented force that is speeding across the table to come to grips. I figure the two Flyrants could do some serious work with their close combat and shooting as they strike and fade against backfield units alongside the big brood of Gargoyles. Counting on the likely scenario that the Trygon would go down quickly from concentrated fire but, if he draws enough shooting, then it leaves other elements to continue pressing their assault. I imagine the initial force would begin waning in Turn 2... hopefully right when the second punch crashes into their front line.
