Which tyranid is the most threatening

So I know tyranids are menacing and all but which one do you guys think is the most threatening one. Personally I like to base threat level off of abilities but that's just me. I think the trygon is the most "scary" because of 2 reasons. 1. Subterranean assault. This is nerve racking because he can appear anywhere at anytime. Imagine being a dumb space marine trotting through fields of rippers and slashing them to bit with your chain sword when all of a sudden the ground shakes and BOOM a trygon has grabbed you in it's maw and is eating you alive. 2. Those talons could skewer you just like a pike through you gut and the trygon doesn't even have to finish you off he can just kill your brethren while you watch in horror.
Now that's spooky

I completely forgot about The Parasite of Mortex. A ripper eating you from the inside out is a horrible way to go.... unless your a member of a genestealer cult then you would embrace it.

Undoubtedly Genestealers man... Everything else is going to 'just' kill you.

Those guys are (only slightly figuratively) going to rape you and desecrate your poor progenies genes, forcing them into the life of a mutant hybrid.The fact that your oblivious to the horror that would become of your family (because you're enthralled to the things will) makes it all the more terrifying.

You would spend years toiling and seeing to the whims of some extra galactic wyrm only to watch your great granddaughter give birth to it's spawn, more than likely dieing in labour.

Finally, on the day of ascendancy when the Tyranids start turning up, that very spawn; the thing that you love as your grandson, will become enthralled by The Hive Mind and break your neck like some dead branch before chucking you into a digestion pool.

Bleak.

I'd much rather have half a chance if choking a Hive Tyrant to death with my jagged femur.

Very interesting pick and quite disturbing I feel like I wouldn't really get attached to my "grandson" if I was just a genestealer hybrid and I hope that I would be shot by an Imperial dog rather than live to see all that.

For my vote, it's Old One Eye. Got shot through the skull with a plasma pistol, and it came back. Got frozen in a glacier, and it came back. Had all Tyranid biomass scoured from the planet (Calth) on which it first appeared, and it came back on other planets instead. Every time you hurt it, it gets angrier. And it comes back to life, again and again.

As I see it, each of the Unique Tyranid "named character" models is the embodiment of one particular element of the Tyranid hive mind, and Old One Eye embodies The Reciprocation Of Pain. It gets re-cloned to break the morale of those forces which manage to hurt the swarm's efforts to harvest the biomass of their worlds. And it hurts them back. It doesn't conquer, it doesn't harvest. It just wants every non-Tyranid bioform to feel the same pain it does, in the plasma-burned-out lobe of its tiny little Carnifex brain.

And every time you kill it, it just comes back.

(side note: I figured out how to change my avatar icon to a Hormagaunt, but haven't spotted one for Old One Eye. If anyone can help me find it, I'd appreciate it.)

I wouldn't call a carnifex's brain tiny considering a stack of 3 spacemarines (8 feet tall each) is just as tall as a carnifex.

It's funny that I had this same conversation with some friends about the Void Beasts in League of Legends. I should have realized a long time ago they are very Tyranid-esque. Their primary instinct is to consume things, just for what purpose depends on the specific character. Kha'Zix consumes matter to evolve into a perfect hunter and Vel'Koz consumes matter to learn and achieve omniscience. The reason why I brought this up is because Cho'Gath, my favorite LoL champ, only consumes things just for the reason to spread fear and chaos. To me, that is much more terrifying.

Ok so I've found someone like me. Thank you. I've been playing league for 4 years and void characters are my favorite. Cho'gath is my favorite. Then Kha'zix cause eat evolve m8.
