So, what are your GC musings?

I think there are some in the reports but i like the GC to set the opponent under pressure.
Infiltrating alot of stuff in his near or on objektives outside our deployment zone is verry usefull.

They work great with other infiltrating units such like Manofactorum stealers or lictors.
One of my opponents used them in combination with mass OS units(TermaGants and hormagants in combination with Tervigon and Venators (no OS).)

Give your opponent an target overload so he makes misstakes.

Patriarch tactic depends on first turn or which powers you draw on the chart.
Against grey knights i lett him in the back to threat the midfield and let him staying in cover for two turns adamantium will and fearless.

Adding a big threat like an Gargantuan Creature (lucky youf if you draw invis.) to set his target priorities on the big threats and let the cult units do some lifting.

You can play with the cult both aggressive and defensive. Sure you can get some missmatches against mass OS Armies or Tau or other cover ignoring armies but i never thought before that i´m gona be able to get an tie againt necrons. (that was a turnament where i did´t play a flyrant and invis was enfeebled on reroll passed hits.)

I think gsc is a great addition to tyranids and people gonna evolve some competitive strategies with it.

Isn't servo skulls popular in germany? Here they are everywhere, shuts down GC and Manofactorum Genestealers for 3pts each.

3 servoskulls where a thing here too but in the last three years i never fought against an army with inquisitor. And i play 5-6 tournaments a year.

There is a New General tournament Format coming for tournaments to get an rule and faq consence. It is called tabletopmasters it allows two factions and three (CAD, allies, formations) in any combination. Assassins and inquisitors are also a single faction so we wont See them so often anymore in General cause synergy with other Allied is often Mord important.

Ok, nice to see the GC in action, I've yet to try it myself. But locally, people like close combat armies like Khorne Demonkin and Space Wolves, so there's no threat from an infiltrating genestealer cult. Still nice option to control army positioning.

Khorne Daemonkin are the ultimate rock in a scissors world. If it weren't for paper they would be a top tier army. Now that they can spam knights, I suspect to see them take a sudden uptick.

I have one buddy with khorne daemonkin and i did´t fought yet against him with the GSC but i think that (2-3) flyrants can help ruin his day.
He played deamons last time against my cult and i got a major loss against his C&C Daemons. (Ok he had 2 Soulgrinder with flamer) and 2 flying demon princes with this 2w6 whip shooting attack.

Something about new IK's for CSM I guess (you can ally CSM to KDK).

Yup, Soulgrinders are pretty common in Daemon/CSM armies.

Not sure if it's the Warden or whatever but it's selling like hotcakes here.

Yeah i know they can take them. You defently will also see 3 Knights with daemons/daemonkin/CAM on turnaments. Just thought for a little moment damonkin can summon them @ spamming them. (That would be ridiculous)
My Gaminggroup are against super heavies so i will have no problems with them.
I also don´t see knights as an great threat as our flyrants can handle them with ease.
Fought one time against an 5 Knight list with 3 Flyrants and won big time.

They can take the formation that allows 1-3 and the Daemon engine of Khorne one. One is no problem. 3 is. I typically can handle them, but the gore pack with 3 knights will be hard to handle. You will have to table them or lose on objectives. If you haven't faced flesh hounds your KDK opponent is doing it wrong. I usually see at least 15 (typically many more) being run against me. They will crush GSC which will do nothing more than be a speed bump and give the juggerlord ID in melee by turn 3. Chaos definately got a boost. Plus they can take twin gatling cannons and an icarus lascannon which should easily handle flyrant spam.

you can't take IK in the daemon engine formation in KDK if you're wondering about that. the new knights aren't CSM/daemons/KDK/whatever, they're their own renegade faction. you can't give them legacies or marks.

there is a formation that lets you take 1-3 of them as a detachment, but i would be very hesitant about taking 3 in an open environment. it gives you preferred enemy: IK, but it gives your opponent's knight preferred enemy: renegade knights if you take 3.

2 will be the sweet spot, probably with double gattling cannons.

argh, double gatling cannons. That was so not necessary. I've fought KDK + 3 IK several times and it has been really close games. That was before double gatling.
