Genestealer cult due by May + another release later in 2016

There have to be some data slates or a supplement imminent? I would be surprised if they released these without a link into 40k. For 165 dollars they need more use than in a one off board game.

Source says later on there might be plastic multipart kits with rules. Right now they're just a boardgame.

Well, I think that has made my mind up on this purchase then. Too expensive for now, I wonder if it will still be available if/when the multipart kits come out.

Those 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th generations seem backwards.
Surely the later generations are supposed to be closer to pure strains? The stealers aren't breeding with them directly, they're infecting them.
The models look good though, but I'm not sure I'll pick up another force...

This is not the case. Hibrids look more and more human as generations pass until six generation I think, that is when the purestrains are born

So looks like we've got quite a few models in the kit...
1 - Magus 1 - Primus 2 - Familiars 2 - Purestrain Genestealers 2 - Hybrid with Mining Laser 2 - Abberants with Power Hammers 2 - Abberants with Power Picks 2 - 3rd Gen with Grenade Launchers 4 - 3rd Gen with Autoguns 8 - 4th Gen with Autoguns 12 - 1st and 2nd Gen with stabby stabs and pewpews
PLUS all the Spese mareens.
Thats a lot of models. While the kit is still pretty steep, it's starting to look like par for the GW course.

In terms of value compared to normal GW boxes it will no doubt be good value, if the multipart kits come out you are looking at £25 for a box of 10 and £15-20 for the characters. It is a shame that you won't be able to use the hybrids "officially" in 40k for a while it seems.

Damn, almost $200 Canadian if those are US prices. Will have to get this, if anything just so I can have motivation and restart my Nid army.

Great looking minis so far. I'm wondering if there is anything else on the marine side we haven't seen yet. All these potential one off marines are awesome but finally we get some modern 'stealers and cults. I'd be willing to bet that either a campaign supplement or the new 'dex will have rules for them (although I'd lean more to a supplement)
That cryptus 2.0 is awesome though, can't wait for this one...
