For the Greater Good - Tau rumours

I read on natfka that after long AoS treatment, GW finally goes back to WH40k and it looks like it is time for tau. There is supposed to be new XV 8 Commander and 2 new suits, one bigger than riptide (maybe some kind of tau gargantuan creature - here I am just guessing). New codex is about to appear in September. We will see

The only way this excites me, is that it seems like everyone (read: Nids) will get their own codex-gargantuan creature.

I hope then that for nids the trygon gets tagged as a gargantuan creature. We do NOT need any more units for a while! We had a massive increase with the 5th edition nid dex and then have had more added from the 6th ed nid dex to now. I'd rather GW focus on defining the army/unit roles better and spend time ensuring they have good rules then spending the time adding another model to the army.

I would like some better rules that mean a list that doesn't require mawlocs/lictors/3 flyrants/dakkafexes/etc to be competitive

Fire Warriors are supposedly getting re-done too, with a dual kit that makes a new Troop type as well.

Not sure if a new unit is needed, but them making path finders would be cool. Though what do I know? I play hungry hungry space beetlelizards

well, they've already got a great plastic pathfinder kit, so I think this is unlikely.

I know at least a few Tau Players who have been wanting more variety in the Troops slot. This would definitely help them out.

What I really want to see for them are more Xenos Auxiliary species.

I would LOVE an Auxiliary supplement with all of the forgeworld kroot options, some new vespid kits, and gue'Vesa human troops.

I won't believe until I draw blood on the spikey bits trying to assemble the model.

expect formations to give out free drones or possibly discounted transports... Think sell models folks. Also, I know most would'nt be sruprised if tau got more haywire options or up the strength of the Rail guns back to 10 where they belong.

I could DEFINITELY see free drones for squads. especially in the over-arching detachment. Mechanicus gets free upgrades, marines get free transports, eldar gets free movement.

On that note, what would nids get? Free biomorphs?
