Hi all This is the Place I will be posting My reports for this tournament.
www.guardiancup.org/ It's in Portland Oregon on May 23,24. 50 people.

It is my 2nd two day 6 game tournament so I am very excited. hoping to do better then my last big tournament. I lost a big bet with a friend so I have to take something in my list that is not normal to see.

I have been working on a few list. I have not picked one yet. You can take a look and even vote on them in the army list area if you like.

2nd list is better. first has lone carnifex sitting there going derp. 2nd list at least has delivery with the pods. i understand why you have the trygon prime w/ reaper, which is cool of you but not likely to be much more than a liability. he'll at least soak some fire if he's shrouded. it'll own face if anyone's dumb/unlucky enough to let it live.

Thanks for your thoughts. I always get good info from them.

For some reason people focus on he Carnifex's before him. I have always dropped him in to cover if I can close to the Carnifex's for synapse. This has let me focus the tyrants on killing what's needed without worrying about the Carnifex's the next turn.

It sounds odd but next to the damage output of the tyrants and the Carnifex's he seams harmless in comparison. The plus one strength from the Reaper makes him good at killing lite armor tanks and the like. It should make any D sword Wraith Knight think twice about charging in as well.

I expect veteran players to know how dangerous he really is if left alone in their backfield . The just are not seen in competitive play anymore. So I am hoping this will give me a small surprise factor in using him.

He is not my first choice that's for sure. But after some play testing I can say if he was about 50 points cheaper with the artifact I would conceder him in more often.

I have a question if anyone Knows the ITC format at all.. If someone has a LOW and you don't you an roll on the Escalation book warlord Tables right???. Does anyone know what they are???
I don't own the book for them as I have the new FW book for our models. Also, Can I reroll on that table like I can in the BRB if the first warlord Trait is not to my liking???

Are they worth taking or the BRB tables?

I will have a match by match run down on how the trygon did for laughs and hopefully full battle reports for the 5 games played some time over the next week between school stuff.

Any thoughts on the new army that's kind of gone under the radar?? Eldar was a big focus for a lot of us, but I feel we should have been worrying about the Adtaptaus Skirie guys personally.

I too will be at the guardian cup, look forward to seeing you there. My nids will be the behemoth colors . As far as my list I'm not sure yet. I really want to try skyblight again which I havn't done since 6th edition but I'm thinking the survivability of being in the air is going to be very important with the new eldar. On the other hand I really don't enjoy games where I just fly around in circles and my opponent can't even hurt me. I'm a very competitive player and play to win but I still want enjoyment out of the game. 1st list with skyblight is as follows

The first list has tons of Obsec and is very survivable. The second list sacrifices the obsec for maximum killing potential

Personally I would go with a mix of both. If you have a Tyrannocyte I would make room for it for the Dimachaeron to pod in. I'd drop a harpy or the zona's for it.

2nd list I would drop one fex for pods for the other two.

Sa quick update. I have faced 3 people today and have Ened the day with 2 wins and one loss with a score of 17 out of 33. Army's I faced so Far are Tyranids with Barbbed and Swarmlord, Dual tank busta Orc's with Burning enclave Necrons, and Lastly 7 drop pod Salamanders with White Scars.

So what do you think I lost too?

Will have to say the place was amazing. There is like 6+ pieces of terrain per table. some are themed and other are a crazy set up. Almost all are Tyranid friendly. A good showing of Tyranids, about 5 out of 50 with no one list the same. Looking forward to my match's tomorrow. A lot of the big name player have lost. Most of the top players from Cali have lost as well. The middle of the pack is full of wolves. It really cool.

I think mr doenut is best Tyranids right now. I don't know how his 3 game went. I think he played a 5 tyrant list with skyblight and won.

I am going to try for 4 win and 1 loss. Hears to hoping for good match ups and hard fought games.

Oh and the Trygon prime has done some good work in every game I have used him in. I thought he would be a waste of points. But he been doing really well. Super surprised.

Necrons came in 2nd. They lost to the Mechanicus army in drop pods that was full of proxies. He played really well and won the top.
Funny thing was not one model was of the new Mechanicus line. Most where the temptest units. Not even conversions. Don't know why he was allowed to play them that way. Just feels wrong. He wasn't even ashamed about it saying he couldn't play Mechanicus models because they where back order.

I think one Eldar player was in the top 6 and he didn't bring any D weapons or WK. There was at lest two in the top 10 and I think 2 crons. I think a IK army was in the top as well.

I end the tournament with a score of 3 wins and 2 loss's. Will have more for you all in a day or two. I am very tired. All and all a good tournament.

Not surprised Jeremy took it. He got Best General at Storm of Silence a couple of weeks ago with another variation on the list. I don't know why they've been letting him run the proxy version, but I do know he cleared it with both TOs beforehand.

Skitarii are pretty solid anyhow, and when you give them Drop Pods, they just get brutal.
