How to beat the upcoming Eldar?

A guy at Warseer has the new Eldar codex and has spoiled a lot of the stuff including.


Warp Spiders: 19/model Monofilament rule has changed.They roll to wound against I, although the T is still used to calculate ID

Serpents are 110 points, and shield is now: S6, Assault 2D6, Ignores cover, One use only.

 Wraithknight is LoW (295 points), Jump gargantuan creature

All Distortion weapons are Strenght D. All of them. But the scythes apply a -1 when rolling on the D table, and the strenght is considered to be 4 when calculating the instant death.

and yes the wraithguard point cost hasn't changed.

formations

Guardian battlehost: Vypers, Warwalkers and Vaul's support batteries get preferred enemy if they have a unit of Guardias at 12". Guardians can purchase a Platform for free.

Windrider host: Once per game all formation gets Shred when firing shuriken weapons

Guardian Stormhost: Vypers, Warwalkers and Vaul's support batteries get preferred enemy if they have a unit of Guardias at 12". Storm guardians can purchase 2 special weapons for free.

Seer council: They harness Warp charges with 3+.

Aspect Host: They re-roll LD tests and get +1 to WS or BS.

Dire Avenger Shrine: Once per game, Shuriken weapons are Assault 3. +1 to BS

Crimson Death: Preferred enemy (Flying things), 4+ cover save, and if Jink, may re-roll the cover save.

Wraithhost: Get battle trance, if targe is at 18" or less from spiritser, reroll to hit


The "decurion" formation makes everyone automatically run 6" instead of d6

how can we defeat army that is made up of Scatterlaser jetbikes, wraith knights and warp spiders? i can't see us surviving past turn 3 even if we go full flyrant

I know there are limits in tournaments and such, but is there anything stopping a player from unlocking an additional LOW simply by unlocking the additional FOC? And this question goes out the window with unbound.

So I think our best chance to win would be in a tournament due to any restrictions placed on the armies in play, how we would win I still don't really know. When it comes to "casual" games Id say we are simply (please do not swear). And that doesn't mean I'm going to stop playing my nids, I love them to much. It simply means I'll ask the Eldar player to count his str D as str 10, and if they have a problem with that they can simply walk away and find another game.

Points depending, you can take as many CAD as you like, and each CAD let's you take a single LoW slot, if you are playing straight out of the book.

Many tournaments restrict these things though, and many local groups have their own conventions on army construction.

I plan to overload on flyrants with dual-templates. Haywire + tears of the hive mind. After circling them, showering them in tears I expect them to break out of sheer disgust and pity. The plan is foolproof!

Funniest part of the joke is that casual/ friendly games is the only place that WAAC Eldar players will be raping face with D spam. So friendly! So Cinematic! Forging such a fun narrative!

I just like the jump GC part. That may have not changed much, as thankfully I haven't seen any Eldar locally, but that just allows full screens to be ignored. Dima gonna be jelly. The rest, meh, we'll adapt or we won't. I think we will once a month has gone by and everything is in the open. Too bad hive guard still have sub BS, they could have made a nice come back vs all those bikes.

You still have to be able to land. It's not hard to bubble wrap. It's hard to have your bubble wrap live through the scat gun fusilade though.
