A terrible blow to my hive

Hello everyone,

I recently moved into a new apartment, long story short during this move someone slipped and fell into some boxes resulting in my Hierophant falling down a set of stairs. She is in just a terrible state, limbs I had pinned and glued on broke off, the pin's cleanly snapping in half. I have yet had the time or the moral to try and repair/repaint her and I was wondering, if anyone here has experience with something similar. Should I try and remove the old pins? Or simply place new ones in? Any input would be appreciated.

My friends nephew did this to my Wraithknight last Christmas. It still sits in a bag in about 100 pieces.. Demoralizing considering the models are so expensive.

You will probably have to glue a few pieces, that were removable before. If the damage is as extensive as I'd imagine. That being said if you were determined enough you could redrill a size larger and Repin. Just not going to be as easy this time around.

removing old pins from resin is gonna be tough. Just re-glue best as possible.

Ow. That's painful to even hear about. My only advice would be to carefully refit and rebuild. Greenstuff and epoxy will be your allies now.

I put 2 hours or so into it tonight and have her down to 6 parts now. Those pins are not going anywhere.. I suppose it could have been worse. Even as I watched my hierophant slip from view in slow motion and plummet down the stairs, my fingers snagged the box containing the harridan, both hierodules, and the nine capillary towers. I consider myself a competent hobbyist, yet I fear she will always be a shade of her former self.

If it was a moving company you should have the ability to get a new model thru them. Otherwise if it was a friend, tell them they owe you pizza and beer while you fix your model.

You could always remodel it with some casts and slings made with Green Stuff. Maybe a few crutches?
