Tyranids battle scribe question.

I am on mac so I can't use Tyranid Army Creator. So I went to my Battlescribe which I haven't used in months. I think I used it last before 7th edition hit. It said there was an update. So I updated it, and was surprised to see something for 7th edition. I don't recall updating anything for 7th months ago.

So I made a small army for my son for his Necrons. Then I tried to make mine for Tyranids and I don't see nothing for Tyranids. I am an idiot when it comes to Battlescribe. So I am asking just in case I am missing something here. When I go to 6th edition rules, I see Tyranids. I go back to 7th and there it seems everything but Tyranids. (even things I never seen before, like some IA 9, the last entry).

So is it not there, or am I just missing something?

When I go back to Win mode, I will use Tyranid Army Creator, but when I am in Mac mode, I can read my rule book, codices from my iBooks. So am I missing something here?

You still have to make Nid lists in 6th edition. Since it's a crowd sourced data set, it takes some time to update.

Battlescribe is way over my head. It doesn't seem user friendly at all. I just use pen and paper for lists lol. #OldSchoolIsCool.

Nids are there in the 7ed data. The first dataslate is in there but not the second or third.

I love me some BattleScribe. Some of it is a little wonky, but if you know the rules for your particular army it's not a huge deal.

Which repositories are you using? When I switch to 40K 7th edition, my 'nid data is not there.

Don't ask me LOL. I didn't even knew I had 7th edition. I did a google search and found a Tyrnid that works with my 7th edition. Not sure if I am allowed to post a link or not.

*edit* Another question. How come when I say 400 points, it says 380 out of 0 points. So it says I am 380 points over, but I have said 400 points. What am I doing wrong here? It keeps saying invalid list.

Might I suggest battlescribedata.appspot.com for your data

The site accepts bug reports/requests so if you find something's missing or broken, you can let them know so they can fix it. Their data is probably the most complete you'll find out there.

Not sure. I've never had that issue. 

You're setting the points value in the same window you're choosing your detachment and datafile(for nids) from right?

Yes I am Nidsinrva. Oh well no big deal, at least it still keeps up the tally of my points. So 400 of 0. I can accept that.

I forgot to ask. How is it on Mac? Is it worth the $40? Is it buy once for life now or do you have to keep repurchase a licence for it? Also how easy is it to install armies into it? I am not familiar with Mac so that is why I am asking about how easy it is to install armies.

in case you are still interested, the tyranids army setup on the repo posted was horribly behind in content. i have updated and fixed just about all the entries, as well as added all dataslates and apoc formations. oh and i put the lords of war in their. the only thing i dont currently have added is whats in the anphelion second edition. gonna get that at gen con. pm me and i can send you the file and explain how to add it.

and to Jonskichov. if you could point me in the right direction i have been trying to find out how i could replace the current tyranid file on that repo with mine, since the one that is on their now is missing so much and doesn't seem to get updated.
