Sal, you realize you are on your last warning right? At this point I am well within my rights to permanently ban you for that bit of spamming the forum and the recent mod bating. I've given you all the outs I can, now my hands are tied. The next time you spam the forum in any way or try to bate the moderators I will have to pull the trigger.
I'd hate to permanently ban you for writing desu, but that's where we are at.

haha, desu...
On a serious note, I cannot wait for the new DE stuff to come out. I may just buy a box of something or other because it all looks so cool. Though I do still like the look of the older things these newer ones just take the cake.

Ive just spent all morning reading all over the new models and Jess's comments on the new models, Im even more excited now and cant wait to use them! Im even thinking of Pre-ordering ( Never have done that before even with the Nid release!) Still going to use my Old DE army as theyre heavily converted and will fit in nice with the new models, so time to finally finish painting them and get them ready to face the world once again. @ Sal - I didnt realise that you were talking about DE Tactics I agree that this thread should remain open, and the other one be locked ( this is more active and has a better title )

This thread has 8 pictures and four pages of semi relavent discussion. The other one has almost the whole Dark Eldar codex. Which one do you think would be more useful?

Helonion: DE tactics... well, they were the original mech spammers and the only army to do it consistently, even in vehicle-less 4th Ed. Lots of raiders - cheap, av10 open topped paper transports that came with a dark lance (str8 ap2 lance). Warriors could go in a larger squad on foot with more special and heavy weapons too - lances or splinter cannons (assault 4 ap5 str4). Very poor saves all round, but relied upon zipping around and avoiding being hit. Wyches and HQ's were the main CC killers - wyches had a leader with a poisoned power weapon, 4+ invul and loads of attacks. HQ had a 2+ use-til-you-first-fail invul save, a few odd weapons, and a retinue of str4 power weapon eldar with a 3+ save. THey zip around, lance all the nasty stuff, stab the less nasty stuff. Simple as.

Should nids be worried?

I don't think nids should be too worried but more accurately on guard, every army should be on guard for that matter.
I predict that when they come out and we start seeing them on the tables we'll see a lot of the old tactics emerge only to fail. The real problem will emerge when everyone actually starts discovering what works.
As for nids, what are they going to do use their speed to get closer to us so they can charge a close combat army with significantly greater numbers. Actually they could do that.
I agree this thread should stay open as a general DE chat page.
cheers.

I think what we will have to worry about the poison attacks making a mockery of our MC's. So maye we will just have to boost our basic gaunts and venomthropes to counter them?

What about the Tankfex, the acidspray is ap4 and ST6 with a 20' template range. That could kill infantry nicely. Template is 8' long and it says the templares narrow end must be with in 12'' of the gun, 20 ''

So we cant have a DE discussion thread and a DE info thread?? I'm sorry. I have this problem with the English language. See, when I say "which one is more useful?" it means that we will only be keeping one. Anyways, it's been over a day. If you want to discuss the Dark Eldar rumors we have a stickied thread for it.
