Some new 6th rumours, how would they effect us?

I'm just in to say YIPPIKAYEY!!! VEHICLES GOT A HUGE NERF!!! I WILL OWN 6TH EDITION!!
Ahem.
A Glancing hit remove one hull point. A Penetrating hit also removes one hull point, plus you get a roll on the damage table. Once hull points are reduced to zero, the vehicle is destroyed. Which is a HUGE NERF to vehicles. About bloody time!

That is quite amazing, which is very good. May I ask where you came across that? New WD?

So with the rules that have been confirmed, what actually applies to Tyranids to make them better? What would actually make them worse?

Confirmed rules that improve nids:
Now vehicles can be glanced to death, and pretty quickly,I recall it saying that land raiders and monolith only have 3 or 4 hull points.
Vectorstrike: winged mc's can swoop in 24" and get a d3+1 attack on unit they hit
Psychic powers: Now swap ones that are not as useful (only assumption but now that rage gives bonus stats dropping cat off of a tervigon for a new power could be lovely) for a random (and most likely one that's and auto pick if you want it) power in one of three branches. These powers for nids are Biomancy, Telekinesis and Telepathy, which can allow our psycher to buff either itself or troops with biomancy, manipulate enemy troops with telepathy, or use some destructive spells with telekinesis. Nids now, realistically have the most powerful psychic army because of the vast number of psychers we can take. (I think we can currently field 17 if we take 2 tyrants 6 brood lords, 9 zoans)

@ webeguggin, isn't an Trygon Prime considered a psychic as well because he has SitW and synapse? Same for Warriors? Can't remember on that one.
Also I don't get his, choose from the psychic disiplines. So we can choose a disipline for each psychic we have and or powers we have. So say we have 1 HT and a BL. So does this mean we can use any psychic powers that the HT or BL has OR we can use 4 (since they have 2 psychic powers) from the psychic disiplines.
I am old, slow, so can someone explain this to me in simplier terms? LOL

Still wondering about the viability of switching Cataclysm for another psychic power on the DoM.

I BELIEVE we can choose to either sack a power from our psychic and pick which category then roll for power. Not sure if being a synaptic creature is considered psycher still...damn giving up Sitw on a trygon prime for some biomancy to make it a stealth unit or get double movement speed (since their is warp infused movement I am GUESSING its double movement TOTAL guess)...could be one of the most brutal things ever...

^^ I'm betting that only Psykers are going to be able to swap powers for new ones. SITW & Synapse are more of an ongoing ability than a power, which is why Trygons, Warriors & Shrikes (Including Parasite & Tyranid Prime) aren't considered Psykers.
They can't cast powers, they only have static abilities that operate all of the time.
Hive Tyrants (Swarmlord), Tervigons, Broodlords & Zoanthropes (Doom) all say that they are Psykers and have powers that they cast.
EDIT** In addition I'm betting things like "Spirit Leech" won't be swappable where Cataclysm is...
EDIT** (to keep from double posting0 Rage has been mentioned to give a possible +2 attacks on the charge... Raveners with 6 attacks on the charge, Carnifex with 6 attacks on the charge, Trygons with 8 attacks on the charge, Hormagaunts with 4 attacks on the charge... wow oh wow! That's a lot of attacks!
This seems to explain why I would want to take a brood of 9 Raveners or 3 Carnifex in a brood. It also makes 30 Hormagaunts nearly unstoppable because of the losses incurred crossing the table, there will still be so much hitting power when the unit arrives... Things are starting to look promising.
3 Carnifex could have 18 Str 10 attacks on the charge striking at I4 with LBR & AG. Hitting Marines on 4's = 13-14 hits (with dual scytals) Wounding Marines on 2's = ~11 wounds (not counting invulnerables) Storm Shield Terminators take = 3-4 wounds Regular Terminators take = 7-8 wounds
9 Raveners could have 54 Str 4 Attacks on the charge Striking at I5. Hitting Marines on 3's = 48 hits (with dual scytals) Wounding Marines on 4's = 24 Wounds

Thanks Rpricew for the explanations. I can't find my codex at the moment (hoping I do find it so I can play 6th edition)
I thought I read in a thread about them being psychers. Guess that was someone trying to use a power that effected psychers. Thanks again rpricew.

I'd be willing to bet that named characters and unique units that have psychic powers are not allowed to switch out their psychic powers - thus Doom, SwarmLord wouldn't get it, but then, neither would Eldrad...
Just speculatin'

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the swarmlord could change out his psychic powers.. not Alien cunning mind you but the 4 hive tyrant ones.. Being able to switch out the less useful powers (Ie the horror) for things that could be used as he's moving up the field would be amazing.
