Hi all, I'm Bluone formerly a death guard player (4Th ed) but I'm switching to tyranids for 6Th ed. Never played against the nids so consider me a newbie.

Hello, everyone. I apologize in advance for being a complete noob in all this, so I'm probably gonna ask a bunch of dumb questions.

Hi Bronyzro, Don't worry. Everyone starts as a Noob and even if you don't ask dumb questios, you're bound to get some dumb answers.

Hello Hive. I'm deadlink97. I have played warhammer 40k for about 3 years now but I took a year long break and found out 6th edition came out. So I started off with a 2500 point army Goal. So far I am vertually unknown on the Nid Hive. But I hope I will be Known soon as a good Painter and the guy with 2500 points of nids.

Hey all,
So I'm new to this forum but not too the wargaming community. I used to play Nids back in 2000 when the rulebook was paperback with the Black Templars on the cover...3rd Edition I think it was. Well, I stopped playing then, but kept my Nids and now am getting back into it. All I gotta say is WOW...look at all them new Nids to use...why weren't these around when I used to play it Other games I got into over the past 10 or so years are historical games such as WWII land and naval battles, Medieval warfare in the 100 years war between England and France (just starting) and the Napoleonic era of black powder gaming.

Hello all,
I used to lurk on this forum in the days of 4th edition but kind of fell out of the hobby around the time 5th edition rolled around. I'm yet to buy the 6th edition rulebook(cause money's tight) but I've gotten a few glimpses at it and a few 6th edition games. From what I could gather, flyers are what all the cool kids are doing nowadays.
Anyways, I decided to pick up the hobby because I needed something I can do in my downtime in between readings(I'm a college student, working on a second major), and I decided painting/fixing up my models would be the perfect thing(I've moved around several times, and frankly my models have suffered at my hands during moves. Should have been gentler to them, but nothing that I can't fix without some spare bits, greenstuff, and time.
When I last played, I'd say I had/have about 3.5-4.5k points of nids(in the days of 4/5th edition), but with the new rulebook I'm yet to buy I'm not even sure how I'm going to be modelling my mini's at the moment(I like WYSIWYG), so really I'm mostly repairing models. Only about 1/4 of my total army was ever totally painted to begin with, so I still have a lot of work to do(everything does at least a basecoat, but I got lazy with the horde army element...besides the big stuff is wayyy more fun to model/paint in my personal opinion.
I digress though, I'm eager to lurk/scout about the info on this forum.

Hello all!
I am brand new to 40k but have been exposed to the hobby for years and finally decided to begin building my favorite force....Tyranids obviously! So I thought this would be a great site to check out and learn as much as possible. Hopefully I'll be as to contribute plenty as I learn more and digest the biomass of our foes!

Hi everyone,
I finally decided to quit my instinctive behavior-lurk and got into synapse range, because I just adore this forum. I am a 22-year-old tyranid fan from Germany, now playing nids active for three years. I collected more than 6000 points (soon 7500 due to a hierophant) and now own every actual tyranid model by GW (even some old ones) and can field every unit, most of them WYSIWYG (magnetized almost every MC). Also I've got a wholly painted 1500 points hive fleet for gothic. So yeah, you can call me a real tyranid freak They brought me to the tabletop-hobby and will ever be my favorite army. For 40k I call a small Black Templar army and over 2000 points Dark Eldar mine, for Fantasy its 2000 points Lizardmen. And I've got some pirates for Freeboters Fate I think besides writing and drawing, tabletop is my most favorite hobby. I just love the big community and all the friends it brought to me.
Now I want to share some of my tyranid fanart and fanfiction with you and introduce you to my big project hive fleet Zoat. There still is some paint job to do and due to new models it will possibly never ends, but there is never enough tyranid-loving around, am I right? I don't think I am a genius at tactics and rules but I know my nids and spent a lot of time learning how to play them, so maybe you will hear from me even outside the fanart and army gallery topics I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Hey hey hey, everyone!
Ironsquid501 here, greetings from Australia! I'm not only new to the Hive, but to Warhammer 40k and Miniatures in general, and only started painting them a few months ago, so my models look pretty terrible... But I cannot get enough of the Tyranids! I've never actually had the chance to play a match of Warhammer, but it's great to get in touch with an entire community of fellow Tyranid lovers. I'm always willing to learn and talk, and would love to get to know some of you. I also love looking at other people's armies and the colour schemes that they paint their Tyranids in, and observing how other people paint so I might better myself, and maybe one day paint a Tyranid army worthy of being played in a real game or tournament.
Looking forward to getting acquainted with some of you!
