i have to second the ravenor body idea. it's what i'm building mine from, and it adds bulk without going overboard.

At the moment, I'm using a 3rd edition Hive Tyrant as the prime on a 40 MM base. Since I run 5th/6th edition Tyrant kits as my Hive Tyrants there is enough difference between the models that the Prime fits right in with a bunch of warriors with the new Boneswords and Deathspitters. I'll get a pic up for you.

I did mine the same as rpricew but I used lictor legs (don't know if they were from 3rd edition or 4th though). I checked a dryfit for the old beetlefex legs but I found them to be too big. looks like I used the same tailpart for my first prime as rpricew did too, with some green stuff underneath, and the same head, but I didn't put an extra spike on the forehead. it stands about a headlength above normal warriors and is very easy to magnetize (I used 3x2mm discs).

I used a Lictor as the base for my Tyranid prime. Bigger, spikier, more armoured (and yet for some reason Cruddace seems to think it has 5+ armour). It's the same sort of idea, having the shortened head carapace to compensate for the carapace cowl hood thing, but looks less chunky and more quick and deadly.

I use a 2nd edition hive tyrant and swapped the arms. It is smaller than a 3rd edition tyrant but a bit bigger than regular warriors
