So cool! Love the Warrior drowning in the acid, one question: How did you do the bases, post a tutorial or something!
Sorry it took so long but here it is.
Step 1.
Build your model.
This is generally an essential step as you need to know where to put the stones he will be standing on.
Step 2.
Place the stones on the base where you want them.
I do this just to test fit the model and get a general idea of how it will look once completed. It also allows you to make any changes needed.
Step 3.
Cut the nubs off spare arms you have laying around.
These will be used to create the bubbles.
Step 4.
Using Super glue or Platic glue glue down any parts eg drowning Marine, Tyranid, etc then glue the stones and "bubbles" down using wood glue or an equivalent.
If you want a Marine, Tyranid any form of terrain, grass, etc in the acid I would recommend super glue or plastic gluing it to the base BEFORE applying any pva/woodwork glue as it will give it a much better bond and after you apply the pva and it dries it will look like the Items are actually in the acid.
This will also be your last chance to move any stones around so test fit your model again and make any adjustments needed.
Step 5.
Using super glue, glue your model to the stones.
You may need another model or something to lean your model up against to hold it still until all the glue dries. I was lucky with this one and he balanced quite well.
It is also a good idea to let the wood glue dry 1st so the stones aren't moving around when you glue your model onto them
(This step is optional at the moment as you may want to paint your base and model separately!)
Step 6.
Undercoat Chaos Black
Step 7.
Drybrush the rocks with Codex Grey and paint the acid Skull White.
Step 8.
Drybrush the rocks with 50/50 Codex Grey/Skull White and paint the acid Scorpion Green.
Instead of using Scorpion Green you can use any colour, Red for a lava base, etc.
Step 9.
Slowly layer the acid up by adding Bad Moon Yellow gradually into your Scorpion Green.
