for my apoc nid army. I have over 10k in nids (including heirophant, trygon, heirodule, malenthrope) and wanted to do an exocrine... figured it would do a strength D with the 10" blast... 400 pts but not sure the best way to build.... anyone have any ideas?

and no i don't want to buy an old armorcast model.

Well I know Bell of Lost Souls' Lords of Battle Datasheet has some rules for the Exocrine (Link), but I've never tried them out so I'm not sure how effective the Exocrine would be in battle with those rules so I dunno. As for the modeling aspect, I would take a use a Carnifex as a base model and go from there with a whole lot of modeling putty. A nice, big gun is necessary, reinforced carapace would be fitting, and spore cysts would be good for matching the BoLS rules.

My critcism is constructive, I've seen too many "lesser conversions" that everyone has drooled over but yet no real works of art (or correct for that matter AKA since when did Tervigon= pregenant Carnifex?!)and unfortunatly even Hydra from Warpshadow cannot get Doom of Malantai correct even though alot of his other work is stunning, my point is I am telling people the truth to spur them onwards

I would almost be tempted to take the guns off of the back of that Dactylis and use him as a super Tyrant Guard.

Either way, those are fantastic conversions! The Carnifex kit is great.

Well, i used the Exocrine rules several times, for example when i played with friends and i needed another 200points, i just played my Gunfex as an Exocrine, and i can tell you: You will blast away 450points (vehicles) or sumthing with this baby ON AVERAGE in one game ---> means---> YES its worth the points

No time to paint. Am just using up spare parts I bought on Ebay a long time ago, otherwise they just take up space and collect dust.

Exocrine needs 2 heads to make a Bio-Cannon (fused), Dactylus needs 2 launchers, so 2 heads.
