Painting kraken

i wonder if someone can help me ive just re started my tyranid army and am trying to paint them the colours of hive fleet kraken but i am having trouble getting the desired effect does anyone have any tips on how they go about painting them like this?

if you want only GW paints you can use my quick-guide. it's not really much differ from the codex's guide

but i reccomend krakenfiend's guide as it's more detailed and was my whole inspiration

i have ahd a go with the guides and must say the results are much better than when i copied them out of the codex il post some pics when ive done a few more so far ive only had time to do 2
