Hello to all in the Tyranid Hive. I've been playing 40k for two years. Started the same time as my son. I'm huge into 'nids with about 8000 points collected so far, about 5000 painted. My son collects Blood Angels but I don't hold that against him. Glad to be part of the community and looking forward cautiously to 6th edition.

Hey ya'll. Decided to post in this thread as well because I still haven't even though I've been here for a while (lurking and as a member). :) Few months back I would've never imagined to play 40k, and now I'm past 20 games of 40k and totally enjoying the fun of painting "little men/creatures" and pitting my models against my fellow players here in Finland (the scene is small, but well, maybe more enjoyable) :D

Oh well, time to get off here and get to sleep. Have fun ya'll, tomorrows the doom's day for 6th edition after all.

Hello 'nidhive! I'm one of probably many Tyranid players being wooed back to the game by 40K6e. I played the heck out of 2nd and 3rd edition but missed 4th and 5th completely thanks to the annoyances of Real Life(TM). Now I'm back and attempting to awaken Hive Fleet Zorak. I find that I wasn't *quite* as good a modeler back then as I thought I was, so I have some rework to do. And sooooo many gorgeous new plastics to pick up...

Still, happy to be part of the hive again. My first game is in a couple of weeks. I'm excited about that. We'll probably play at about 1000 points, so I'm deep in noodling about what to throw down. My old Flyrant seems excessive. ;)

Hi I'm Drew, use to play Nids many years ago. I sold them all to concentrate on my Chaos and traitor IG army. Now I have just bought a fairly decent amount of nids of the net and will be coming back to the Hive!

I have started to make a space hulk for a campaign that my gaming group is working on. But with my new nids arrivals I'm thinking that I will convert it to a captured hive ship.

Nids, Chaos and traitor IG you say. I like you already. ;) That's the three armies I'm playing!

(though, to be honest, I still have to paint some pink on the sides of my tanks to call my IG 'traitor' :) )

Hey all, I have been playing 40k on and off for about 3 years now and my main army is Grey Knights, and before anybody makes fun of me; I started them before they got their new codex back when they were 3rd edition :P I am new to Tyranids and they gained my attention lately and am excited about building a new army with them.

Hi there.

I've been playing 40K on and off since the early 90s thought I'd give it a go again with my first ever army ('Nids).

Now I missed out all together on 5th edition and only occasionally played during 4th (I'm mostly a fantasy and specialist games player) so a lot of my models are Rogue Trader era, 2nd (3rd?) edition models (I'm a bit hazy on which edition is which). I'll also be asking quite a bit of advice on what works and what doesn't and appropriate uses of my old models in the new rules.

I'll post a list later on.

I hope to get a out of this and post a few pictures that might make the older guys reminisce and the young whipper snappers go Huh?

hi people, am having trouble with my tyranids army, have played at least 12 games with them, and its been a dramatic loss for me every time, every army i play, position my army at the very back of their deployment zone, meaning i have a at least two and a half, even three feet to cover just to get to my enemy, which doesn't leave many units for me to play with, a lot of people say try cities of death, but I'm wondering is cities of death the only way I'm gonna get my tyranids to win.

Hello.to the hive i have been playing nids for 18 months now and love them to bits. my fleet is called wendigo and have yellow flesh and purple carapace which all my opponents seem to like :-)
