So as I attempt to focus more time on my Red Knights, eventually the idea of a Dreadnought comes to mind. This Dread, Ancient Brother Damian, is loosely based on the pre-heresy Dreadnoughts you can find in various artworks (such as on the cover of Fulgrim). I'm not sure when I started this, but it was a long time ago, and it's been on and off since, but now it seems to be coming together, sans a few details...
Pretty big picture spam here, get ready:

Weaponry (so far):

Combat arm weapons:

![[image] [image]](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj306/Girdir/DSCF0016.jpg) ((For the motherland!!!)) ((Side note - I'm probably replacing the sickle with a hammer, just need to find one big enough. Anyone know any models or manufacturers I could use))?
The main body is done, now just needs a few more details and possibly a banner. Also, I was wondering, what's your opinions on the base? Do you think I should add... a) A fellow Red Knight? ((test model, not painted fully))
![[image] [image]](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj306/Girdir/DSCF0011-2.jpg)
b) A dying Chaos marine?

c) Other?
Comment and critique appreciated.

I have a few complaints:
The guns are way too big, it looks like some kind of robot designed by a four year old (The rest of it is to good taste however)
The head looks stupid, it looks like some kind of disfigured, giant space marine is peering out of his little post box/tin can.
Also, the close comabt guns look ridiculous, no wiring system, no support, it looks like you just decided to glue it on.
(Harshness over) the good bits:
It's an extremely original and good looking design, the legs and use of entinel parts as arms is used to such good effect on this model and the way it is posed is very natural and dynamic.
The detail is great, I esoecially love the way you have used etched brass.
The legs look much more humanoid than the current, chicken sumo legs.
If you were to make an Ironclad version, you could give it a hammer and sickle! AAAAAGH MOTHERLAND!
Good job, few improvements to be made in my opinion though...

i think it looks good i'm impressed and the idea of a dying chaos marine sounds pretty cool
and what means to the sicle you could also make another arm for the other side with a hammer in it then you would have the hammer and the sicle of russia sounds ferry fluf to me
i wil keep an eye on this one keep up the good work

Hum, that extra arm idea doesn't sound too bad, just might try that. I'll have to find another shoulder before I try that though... *scrabbles through bits box*
@Fungus: Some harsh words are always refreshing, as I always seem to find everyone on forums to be slightly too lenient. For the head, there's not much I can do now, and I'm okay with it for the most part so I'm probably gonna keep that as is. For the guns, I assume you're referring mainly to the Las-cannon, for that I was thinking maybe chopping a piece out of the top part so that it doesn't come as far out from the model as it does now. Either that or make another from the Dread' Las-cannon I've got. As for the combat guns, it's pretty hard to make any sort of wired look because they first and foremost are supposed to be magnetised, which means if I did wire them, it would be sort of the same situation as magnetising a venom cannon or barbed strangler, but I'll think about it, I'm sure there's a method I'm missing right now.

It looks ok, its a bit too rough for me. My complaint is the guns the double las canon should have a cable between both on the back ends, it looks too unbalanced you need something there to fix that or have a cable connecting to the arm. Same thing with the plasma cannon, just make a cable connecting the gun and the arm and it will balance the arm. The upper body, eh... doesn't look that bad, add some ridges on the top and some battle damage on the front and it will give it more "zing" The back pack is done very well, no complaint about that. The CC arm again I say your gonna need to add something behind the guns to show some kind of connection, a plain flat surface doesn't look very nice, two simple GS circles could suffice. Yeah thats my opinion its a good model but just it has a few balance/proportion issues. Also lol at Gundam hands and a Sandrock sickle.
