Voski... since nobody else said anything about yours, I will! Its looking very good... fitting perfectly the design fromt he codex... while yours looks a better than what I expected/feared for the model.

I'm not sure if it is . To me it looks like it could be just under the lower jaw. As if it was carefully lining up gun. I've never seen a nid gun joined to the head. Arms and carried on the carapace only. Still doesn't mean it can't happen I suppose.

Ha, yeah when I first saw it in the codex I said "What the hell?" then I just figured since it looked like it was on the jaw it was. Well like I said, its awesome I wanna see more of your stuff!

There should be some more old stuff on the hive somewhere if you search. I will be doing a Tervigon , and possibly a Doom in the future when time and money allow.

Nice, do you have a parasite? Cause I need a decent looking one to base mine off of... I was thinking of buying a garg box and converting some of them and taking some extra bits from my hormagaunts and genestealers for rending/talons/wings/model... all I need is a tail.. I was using an old garg for it when I played my dad the other day... It wiped out half a normal space marine squad and brought like 15 bases of rippers but then he used like all his twin linked meltas... they died But I almost one, thanks to my Mycetics

The parasite is supposed to be the size of a warrior. I would get a few boxes of those lads as there are lots of options to do things with those. You just need a good source for wings . I think the garg wings may be a little small. Although thinking about it they count as jump troops so they don't need to fly far just little hops really.

Hi. I'm new here. I've been playing warhammer for 6 years, and started with tyranids. Unfortunately, I sold my original 3k+ of tyranids over the summer, to fund the starting of an eldar army. Now that the new codex is out (which I think is not bad over all) made me want to start tyranids again. This is my first draft at a mycetic spore or what ever it's called. It's only got the first wash on it right now, and will have pics of it fully painted uploaded soon.

I'll try to get a pic of my spores up as soon as I can, busy with school so it'll have to be once I'm home. Still a WIP I'm trying to finish up and decide how to paint em.

About 80% done now. Just need to go over the spike highlights again and wash/grass the base. I think that tyranids would use different sized drop pods for different sized units, so I made this one just big enough for a Zoanthrope to be dropped from. It will be carrying normal Zoanthropes or the DooM. Here it is.

Looks good with the rest of the army, doesn't it?

The different sized drop pods also makes it easier to case, and better looking on the table top (in my opinion).
